“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;”Romans 3:23
We have all
sinned. None of us can make it to
Heaven on his own because we are not perfect.
“For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:”Ephesians 2:8
God has made a way for us through
the death and resurrection of His perfect son, Jesus Christ. All we have to do is accept His free gift of
Salvation by believing in Jesus.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”John 3:16-18
The gift Jesus wants for Christmas is for us to accept Him into our hearts and give Him control of ours. I did so 17 years ago at the age of 12. Salvation was the greatest gift I ever received, and my heart was the best gift I ever gave.
